The Comic-Guide Berlin – Tel Aviv

The comic-guide Berlin-Tel Aviv is an intercultural bilingual project dealing with the cities Berlin and Tel Aviv in an innovative manner. The aim of the project is to create a bilingual (German-Hebrew) city-guide for Berlin and Tel Aviv within the medium of comics.

The team that is in charge of the production of the guide is the comics-collective – a group of comics artists, graphic designers and editors from Berlin and Tel Aviv. This bicultural group will spend one week in each city participating in two intensive workshops. The workshops will give the artists the possibility to explore the cities, collect material, and display first drafts and all of this with an emphasis on the intercultural exchange. The workshops will also include the comics-salon – a platform for interviews with well known figures identified with the two cities. The final product will be exhibited within the ride with the comics-bus. This “sightseeing bus” will drive through the city as a “moving library” presenting the guide under the presence of the media. This special bus ride will also be accompanied with the presence of famous people who would lead the bus-passengers to their favorite places in the city.
