Step 1: Proposal
Proposals can only be made online.
Please fill out the online form in full for your funding proposal in line with the appropriate deadlines/submission periods and submit it to us electronically. We will then contact you to inform you whether we would like you to submit a detailed funding application.
Funding proposals can be submitted four times annually for a period of 2 months in each case. The online form can only be filled out and submitted at these times:
January 1 – 28/29 February
You will be informed by March 31 if we invite you to submit a detailed funding application.
April 1 – May 31
You will be informed by June 30 if we invite you to submit a detailed funding application.
July 1 – August 31
You will be informed by September 30 if we invite you to submit a detailed funding application.
October 1 – November 30
You will be informed by December 31 if we invite you to submit a detailed funding application.
Step 2: Application
If your proposal is approved, we will send you a form to submit a detailed funding application as well as information about the submission deadline. The Foundation makes funding decisions only twice a year (in May and in November) for project applications that request funding sums in excess of 30,000 Euro.
To be considered for a decision in May, you must submit your online proposal in October/November or January/February. To be considered for a decision in November, you must submit your online proposal in April/May or July/August.
We do not specify the total funding amounts we allocate. The financial plan for each project must reflect its content. We fund costs that arise from carrying out and putting on the bilateral project. These include, for example, material expenses such as travel and transport costs, expenses for meals and accommodation for participants, the cost of fees or organizational costs and costs for materials.
