Online Form for Project Funding
Step 1: Proposal
Proposals can only be made online.
Please fill out the online form in full for your funding proposal in line with the appropriate deadlines/submission periods and submit it to us electronically. We will then contact you to inform you whether we would like you to submit a detailed funding application.
This online form makes up the first part of our two-step procedure for project funding. You can only apply for funding from us online.
Step 2: Application
If your proposal is approved, we will send you a form to submit a detailed funding application as well as information about the submission deadline. The Foundation makes funding decisions only twice a year (in May and in November) for project applications that request funding sums in excess of 30,000 Euro.
To be considered for a decision in May, you must submit your online proposal in October/November or January/February. To be considered for a decision in November, you must submit your online proposal in April/May or July/August.
We do not specify the total funding amounts we allocate. The financial plan for each project must reflect its content. We fund costs that arise from carrying out and putting on the bilateral project. These include, for example, material expenses such as travel and transport costs, expenses for meals and accommodation for participants, the cost of fees or organizational costs and costs for materials.
Information on Submitting a Proposal
Please read our funding criteria carefully. A successful proposal must fulfil all the named criteria.
Information on Thematic Categorization
The Foundation funds projects within three areas of activity: Politics and Society, Technology and Innovation, and Cultures and Communication. Under the “Our Projects” menu item, you will find a short description of each area of activity with thematic suggestions and information about the projects currently receiving funding within the three areas. Please explain why your project makes an important contribution to the future of German-Israeli relations within the respective area of activity.
In addition, the Foundation’s Future Lab program seeks to give young executives and professionals who already have an initial idea for a project the opportunity to organize a meeting in Germany or Israel for the purposes of project development.
