G17 for Resilience (2024-2025)
For the last few years, our network programs have been developed in line with the UN sustainable development goal 17, “partnerships for the goals”. Following our programs “G17 for Inclusion” (2022) and “G17 for Pluralism” (2023), our program for the years 2024-2025 is called “G17 for (Community) Resilience”.
We created a diverse and meaningful program, which would bring together professionals in the fields of community resilience and trauma from Israel and Germany. For the first time since October 7, we were able to take a group to Israel, even though the continuing instability of the situation caused some challenges, both with regards to the potential participants in Germany as well as to the planning of the trip in Israel, as the dramatic reality could change from one hour to the next. We decided to only visit areas where the chance of rocket attacks and alarms was low.

One year after October 7: Israel study trip on the topic of community resilience, November 2024
In cooperation with an Israeli expert on community resilience, who had accompanied countless projects and initiatives in the field, we developed an engaging program for the trip. A group of professional women from Germany, all working in the fields of trauma and resilience, were given the opportunity to experience and examine the impressive efforts of communities and organizations engaged intensively in the creation of community resilience.
