(In the context of our network program G17 for Resilience)
Matchmaker Jamal Alkirnawi initiated a cooperation project on the topic of community resilience between the organization that he manages, A New Dawn in the Negev, which works for community resilience amongst Israel’s Bedouins, and Friedensdorf (“Peace Village”) in North Rhine-Westphalia, which provides assistance and medical treatment to children from war and crisis areas. The cooperation included a professional visit for mutual learning and a public event, in which Jamal Alkirnawi and the journalist Jan Jessen participated and which focused on an exchange of strategies and techniques to build mental and community resilience.
