Building Networks for Today and Tomorrow
A strong partnership between states can only be as good as the relationships forged between the individuals of both countries. Accordingly, the purpose of the German-Israeli Future Forum Foundation is to fund German-Israeli exchange programs and networks. Its primary goal is to establish solid relations between citizens of both countries as well as to strengthen and foster networks for a shared effort in shaping a better present and future. To achieve this end, the Foundation promotes innovative and future-oriented projects that deal specifically with culture, education, economy, sciences and the media.
One essential component of German-Israeli relations is an awareness of the Nazi past. In this context, the German-Israeli Future Forum funds projects in various fields that focus on contemporary challenges in both countries. With our funding, we aim to stimulate discussions, promote an exchange of experiences, and to facilitate the development of transnational ideas and projects. The intensive participation of young people is an important part of our vision. Professional and personal ties between Germans and Israelis should be strengthened in order to shape the future of a robust German-Israeli partnership.
The German-Israeli Future Forum is a corporate foundation of the Federal Republic of Germany and the State of Israel. In 2005, both heads of state initiated the idea for the foundation during celebrations to mark the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Germany and Israel.
