Pluralistic Youth Theater
The goal of this Future Lab was to plan a theatre play that would promote young people's understanding of democracy in Germany and Israel and contribute to the prevention of antisemitism. During the meeting in Augsburg, a concise concept for the play, a timeline, and the stage design were developed. The play, titled "Welcome," tells the story of three individuals who must give up their careers as a doctor, engineer, and musician because they are forced to leave their homeland and emigrate to another country. Using partially comedic situations, the play highlights the challenges of migration for both the newcomers and the host society. The play is intended to be produced in both German and Hebrew and performed for young audiences in Israel and Germany. Its aim is to inspire a broad public to embrace diversity and acceptance.
