Link Bridge
The project was originally intended to bring people with disabilities together with museum staff and experts from the field of inclusion in order to make access to and in museums in both countries more accessible.
Following the brutal terrorist attack by Hamas on October 7, 2023 and the subsequent war, the content of the project had to be adapted to respond to the new situation, which was often marked by fear and uncertainty. Link Bridge promptly produced current news from Israel in plain language to inform people with disabilities and help them to understand the traumatic events. In addition, the participants from Israel and Germany expressed their feelings and thoughts about the painful experiences in artwork in accompanied art workshops.
The project gave people with disabilities the opportunity to contribute their perspectives, participate in social debates and present them in cultural activities and formats. Thirty selected works of art were presented to a broad public as part of an accessible traveling exhibition in Israel and Germany.
Participants
More than 40 people with disabilities from Germany and Israel, artists and inclusion specialists
