Munich, November 8-11, 2021:
The first Smart City Workshop Bavaria-Israel took place in Munich from November 8 to 11, 2021. Israeli and Bavarian students, experts and start-ups came together for a three-day intensive workshop dedicated to the topic of "Smart Cities". The goal was to discuss concrete, sustainable and future-oriented concepts and strategies for the preservation and revitalization of communities in an open-ended manner. The results were presented publicly at the Munich Urban Co-Lab; interested individuals could optionally join in online via livestream. The Smart City Workshop was a joint project of the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Israeli Consulate General, the Hanns Seidel Foundation, the Foundation for the Promotion of International Youth Exchange in Bavaria and the German-Israeli Future Forum. A second Smart City Workshop event is planned for 2022, in Israel. The focus will then be on concrete challenges for municipalities in Israel.
