In the context of our network program G17 for pluralism, which was conducted in close collaboration with our matchmakers, Matchmakers Natalie Baruch & Dr. Lihi Nagler brought together Achoti – for Women in Israel and Maimonides Jewish-Muslim Education Institute from Rhineland-Palatinate.
During the study trip in June 2023, a dialogue workshop took place, highlighting the similarities in the biographies and experiences of women from both organizations and demonstrating the diversity of marginalized female voices in both Israeli and German societies.
The participants discussed pluralism in the context of minority rights, equality, freedom of expression, and also in relation to the possibility of reconciliation between Israeli-Jewish and Muslim women.
Members of the organizations agreed to continue their meetings in digital small groups and are planning further activities and gatherings.
