In the context of our network program G17 for pluralism, which was conducted in close collaboration with our matchmakers, Matchmaker Dikla Levinger brought together the Queer History Project in Haifa with Spinnboden, the lesbian archive and library in Berlin.
Pluralism in the context of queer history is expressed, among other things, through the documentation and preservation of the experiences and narratives of various marginalized individuals and communities. The learning trip in August-September 2023 included a public event at the Jewish-Arab Cultural Center in Haifa, attracting dozens of participants, visits to feminist and queer projects and archives throughout Israel, as well as diverse shared discussions.
The collaboration was enriching, facilitating mutual learning, and both sides expressed great interest in continuing to develop it.
