Matchmaker Jamal Alkirnawi developed the collaboration between the organization he leads, A New Dawn in the Negev, which works to strengthen resilience within the Bedouin community in Israel, and Friedensdorf International in North Rhine–Westphalia, which provides assistance and medical care to children from war and crisis regions. Following the first phase, which took place in Germany in 2024, a delegation from Friedensdorf International arrived in the Negev and in Rahat in November 2025, where they met the next generation of the community and engaged with Cross-Cultural approaches to building resilience among young people.
